It has a flawless Parkerized finish, very smooth internal milling, the slide has a very slight play if you really work at it.īut overall the gun handles very well and shoots great. These parts require a frame cut and a hole in the slot.the FP also differs. I(f you pull up the online schematic of the Colt 'O frame' on this site.you are looking for parts:-31.-57 in the frame and -10 and -33 in the slide. You have to press in the aforementioned plunger and hold it there to get the FP to move. With the slide in this position.you should NOT be able to push the FP forward and have it extend from the slide face. With the slide pulled back and locked to the rear you can see the plunger protruding from the underside of the slide. This part will depress a plunger mounted in the slide that is a firing pin block. There are parts for this mounted in the reciever.the RH rear and is visable as a 'finger' that levers up when the trigger is pulled rearward.

To date after 9 years it has had around a dozen recoil springs and firing pin springs (I change them together.), one cracked barrel bushing, one replaced barrel link and slide stop, one broken firing pin, 2 firing pins replaced due to wear, 2 firing pin stops and a couple of stripped grip screw bushings.

As a yardstick to measure those 3 performance by, I just checked my carry/IPSC/IDPA gun.round count over 35,000 rounds of hardball equivalent or higher level ammo.
